This piece is fresh to market from an estate liquidation of a large collection of original WW2 bring back items. These items all come from the estate of a prominent Milwaukee, WI area doctor who worked closely with veterans in the late 1940s and 1950s. He commonly accepted items in trade for patients who were unable to pay their bills, most of which took the form of WW2 bring back firearms, helmets, uniforms, edged weapons, and other fine collectibles. The entirety of this collection has been stored away since the 1960s and is offered now for the first time. Be sure to check back for more!


This stunning piece is a very scarce example of an LD Nimschke engraved Marston three barrel 32 rim fire derringer. This pistol is serial number 6 with matching numbers found on both the frame and barrel assembly. Each of the three barrels show defined rifling with functional mechanics found throughout the rest of the firearm.

Manufactured between 1864-1872, approximately 3,300 of these guns were produced making them quite scarce. Of these 3,300 it is estimated that only the first 50 received engraving, enhancing the rarity of this piece that much more and appropriately matching the single digit serial number. The rear of the grip frame retains the well known “Nimschke Star” behind the hammer, a prime indicator that the engraving was performed by the master himself. The pistol shows evidence of use & handling but all engraving along with the German silver front sight remain in very fine condition.
