Footprint isn't necessary, especially when you rock a pad like the NeoAir which is impermeable to water. You can certainly use one if you want- there are plenty available commercially, but this tent was not designed to be used with one. The best DIY footprint I've seen is simply a piece of construction Tyvek which can be trimmed to size. Its a good vapor barrier, can be painted or kept white on one side for emergency signaling, and superlight and inexpensive, especially if you know some contractors. |
