Hello there, I've never competed, so I have no idea how it may even look like, or what to expect. I have a standard AR-15 rifle chambered in 5.56, 16" barrel, and I shoot it with the suppressor, bipod in front, rear bag in front, and the 4-16x44 scope on top. I get decent accuracy with it at 100 yards from the bench: consistently in the range of 0.5 to 1.0 MOA. I prefer a slow shooting competition format, with no moving around. If I want to compete with it with the configuration that I listed, which type of competition would be the right fit? I figured it would be the NRA 600x3 match, the "any rifle" division (rule 3.2), or perhaps the "tactical rifle" division? I am trying to understand this rule book. Please advise. |

Check out Precision Gas Gun. Great fit for your rifle. Although more dynamic than a prone match, there’s not a tremendous amount of running or anything, just moving from position to position. 50-1000 yards, positional shooting, 90-sec par time.
