I like shooting DA/SA pistols but am crappy with the first DA shot.

What Training/Practice/Exercises do you recommend for the first DA Pistol shot?

Are there any 22 trainers that you recommend to shoot DA over and over then to use to transition to the DA/SA shots?

I don't think a revolver would transfer over well to a semi, or would it?

There aren’t many choices.  I had a CZ75 .22 kit that was pretty nice.  Cadet, I think.

1) Dry fire.  Try to minimize sight movement as you squeeze that DA pull.  Use a laser for feedback.

2) Live fire - Present, DA/SA controlled pair, flip the safety/decocker, rinse and repeat.  Goal is 2 shots as close together as possible.

When I got my first pistol, a P89, I remember doing tons of DA/SA practice.  It's a lot easier if the pistol has a decocker.
