ARFCOMers, this is one of THE best combat-style matches available, ANYWHERE, open to civilians to put up or shut up with an individual rifle/carbine and pistol.

Not hard to do, and quick to shoot, but you have to know your weapons and zeroes.

It has precision at distance, different shooting positions, "Snap" (quick) exposures, movers, and moving engagements with your pistol.  My kid has shot two or three of these Colorado matches with a rack-grade M4 and Beretta, and he says these guys run one of the best matches of this style, to include those thrown at Benning and Bragg.

@OleShep

I am trying to plan attending this. Question - are AR "pistols" allowed on the rifle portion?

How short are you thinking?  My only concern would be keeping the muzzle down range.

I have shot the course with my 10.5 but I did run a can so I did not blow anyone's ears out.   You will be shooting at 600yd, 500yd, 300yd, and 200yd

I have a 10.5 "pistol" that is suppressed. I am also considering a 12.5 "pistol" that is unsupressed. Just want to be sure what I could run before I show up

I just want to make sure the "pistol" designation isn't a hang up. I've been to other events that would not let a "pistol" configured AR run in rifle stages because "shouldering a pistol" isn't allowed. I have sb braces on them and would shoulder them if I'm running them.

Long and short - is that allowed? Or do I need to bring a 16" to shoulder it?

as long as you can handle the weapon safely that is the only restriction.  I would "prefer" you shoot the suppressed one since short unsuppressed ARs are very "rude"..   :-)

Game on tomorrow.  Not many signed up on PS but I have enough walk ones to make the relays.  See you there
