I’m not in competition world of competitive shooting anymore. I was just wondering if anybody is shooting rifles competitively with suppression. (1) Is there an option In the league of competition? (2) what type of cans are you using? (3) what are the things you consider the factors are in choosing a suppressor for in the competition arena? (4) What “brand and make” will you be trying next? |

I understand practice, but theres no specific leag for suppressor competition? I'd thought by now since they're becoming more prolific; maybe the industry would be sponsoring some sort of event. Seems like competition brings out the best in innovation along with recognition. |

I see no reason to. Makes the weapon longer, front heavy, more expensive, LPVO at higher mags will have decently bad mirage after about 10-15 quick shots, everyone's already wearing muffs, blue dump barrels melting to the can... all this and a brake that is 1/10th the price will still have better recoil mitigation. |
If you want, I can show you how to make a bomb out of a roll of toilet paper and a stick of dynamite...

I run a very defensive oriented two gun match. People frequently run supressed rifles. RO has to be up on them as they finish the stage. |

(4) What "brand and make" will you be trying next? They have a small "3 Gun" Comp nothing like or a grand as what you see on tv.... Its literally three stages. 1. Pistol, 2. Shot gun, 3. Rifle. There is a table set up for each stage and when you approach to shot, you weapons will be laid out on each, ready for you to grab load and fire. COF were pretty small, like: 8-10 rounds pistol. 4 rounds Shotgun 6 rounds Rifle all providing zero misses I've shot my 12" LaRue Stealth with Surefire 556RC, my 10.5" Noveske, same Can and my 9.5" BCM .300 Blk with Surefire 300 SPS w supers not subs, pretty sure the shot timer would not pick up. |
