After being informed in gd I don't know anything about anything, even less about pistols and iron sights, and to go away and start my own lame thread ... Welcome to my friendly pistol accuracy challenge thread. You'll need to print 3 targets and 30 rounds. **National Match Course (reduced for 25 yards) ** iron sights, strong hand only slow fire; B-16 target 10 rounds 10 minutes timed fire; B-8 target, 5 rounds in 20 seconds, twice (ten total) rapid fire; B-8 target, 5 rounds in 10 seconds, twice (ten total) 300 points are possible, 250 is effectively the cut between needs work and plausible. By using the national match course you can look on the cmp competition tracker and see where your score would stack up. The annual 25 moa pistol challenges are all but forgotten, this is intended to fill that gap, but there are no prizes or rankings. This is also a challenge to the uspsa crowd, who will work on reloads, draws, footwork, transitions, and stage planning, but appear to turn a deliberate blind eye to accuracy. Post scores, post pictures, or don't, I'm not your boss. |

There are 25-yard USPSA classifiers and you’ve got something like 5-6 seconds to deliver 6 rounds on 3 targets… not 10 minutes. |

You are invited to measure your maximum accuracy without (comparable) time pressure. I have my doubts that target focus can outperform front sight focus with iron sights in a venue of single target with scoring rings. That might be an apples to oranges comparison to uspsa which is a broader skill set, but it shouldn't be apples to orangutans. 250/300 is the minimum hurdle for eic points, 270/300 is club level competitive. I'd try it myself but I've shot so much front sight focus I can't do it any other way, and dots look bad to my eyes so I don't mess with them. The regular nmc is a slow fire b6 at 50 yards and the two b8s at 25, but I didn't expect anybody at all to try that as 50 yard ranges are harder to come by. Printable targets here |

I know many USPSA shooters are very accurate, but your comparison is silly. In the 25 yard classifiers, how big are the targets? For bullseye slow fire, the 10 ring on the 25 yard reduced target is ~1.7” in diameter and the 9 ring is ~2.8”. |

Printable targets here If I want maximum accuracy at 50 yards, im using the proper tool for the job, a rifle. Im not going to use a handgun, and hamper myself by only allowing the use of a single hand. |

It took him quite a while but one of the fastest USPSA-IPSC shooters in the nation took the challenge against the objective, uncompromising, and measurable one-handed Excellence-in-Competition standard of the National Match Course.
