I need to get an optic for PCC and I'm really stuck on what to get. I have an AEMS on an AR and really like it. The 507comp is the same window size and even lighter. The 510c is an even bigger window but heavier. What say all you? |

I have an AEMS green dot with a magnifier sitting in boxes. I plan on putting on the next build (Geissele) until I find something better. Possibly a eotech when I can get a decent sale. But I also have a 510 red dot on a LaRue that I absolutely love. Also has a magnifier. The AEMS is bulkier than the 510 but the box is bigger. If you like a 4” eye relief the sig magnifier is lighter and takes up less space on your gun. The Juliet is actually pretty good for the price. |
| My opinion based on owning all of those options, I have a pistol dot on my pcc’s and several AR’s. Of course these are for speed shoots, not combat. You really don’t need a big window on the pcc because mounting the gun really has that optic presented well and driving the gun leaves little “finding the dot”. The circle dot can provide some utility in a defensive gun but I run a dot mostly, the circle dot I run on shotguns. |
