 This is as simple as it gets. I've got a Bushmaster XM15-E2S with an 18" barrel. I'm planning on replacing the upper receiver with a flat-top Rock River Arms model and hope to get that completed by mid-January. I've also narrowed my optics choices down to the Burris XTR or the Viper Vortex PST 1-4, and I'm leaning toward the latter option. At some point, I'd like to build a new AR from scratch, but that may have to wait for the 2013 season. |

Many of the parts were 'black Friday' deals, and I ended up saving a bunch of money on the build. Not sure which way I'm going with glass––probably an MTAC. It's surprisingly light for an 18" barreled gun.

Cooley Comp JP adj gas block JP LMOS carrier lightened buffer LMT rear sight homemade front sight post, SKINNY post in a large aperture that is intended only to protect the post. It works well for the long range stuff but the jury is still out on speed up close.

A new 18” top end set up that I'm going to try out this year. Some new parts, some I have been running for a while:
Stag 3GH upper (swapped the Stag comp for a Miculek). This upper is the “new” part. Burris XTR 1-4 scope in a J.P. Enterprises Mount. DPMS lower with J.P. Enterprises Adjustable Trigger System and Speed Hammer.

Here's my newest project pretty much set up for shooting Multigun. It really doesn't do anything better for the game than the .223, but I had to have one anyway. I do shoot 1 match where power factor is scored, so I'll be able to make major on that one. Accuracy is about an inch with good bullets, under an inch with 178 AMax bullets and A1680 powder. I have a bunch or 165 Core-Lock bullets that print about 1 1/2" groups at best, so they'll get used on close cardboard.
Specs. are: CMMG 16" barrel w/carbine gas RWS brake fitted to barrel (no crush rings here) Model 1 float tube DPMS lower RRA NM trigger ACE stock Ergo grip Weaver 1-5x scope in Burris mount Home made cat tail
