So I need a lighter grey for my company use. I would buy the Condor Trident Battle Top t-shirt but the grey is a bit dark. I want the 5.11 V.XI Sigurd Shirt but it's way over priced. This will be used for backpacking and backcountry use with my agency patch on the left arm. Need this for high temps / humidity. The 5.11 is pictured but I don't want to spend more than $40 shipped (much less as these will get trashed) Any cheap suggestions that have loop velcro on at least the left arm? Mine is size Medium end from armpit to the bottom it’s 42cm long. The back is a couple of cm longer. |

got the 5.11 V.XI Sigurd Shirt and it SUCKS I did not realize that it's nylon and feels just as crappy as those old high school gym jerseys with a pack and chest pack it wets out and stays wet. It's literally wet to the touch and feels horrible against you skin (like a wet bag). Does not dry out at all. I Hiked the other day a 5 miler and had to change when I got back to my truck to finish patrol. I hung it in my A/c 'ed truck and 3 hours later it was still wet. I have tried it 4 times and same results (one day was 100 so I figured nothing would work last time was in the 70's and low humidity [the rest were in-between]) . I just ordered the condor shirt and hope it works better. nylon sucks for base layers and I would have never ordered it as I just figured it was polyester of some type. Literally I have been hiking for 30 + years and even my old wicking shirts work better. I will say it does great for odor though (wore it two days in a row without washing once and it did not stink) but it did not dry. Only other good things are it's fit and the velcro on the arms. The huge seams are bad around the neck to and I keep thinking I have a bug in my shirt. I guess it also never looks wet until you touch it. Attached File |
