This is my setup now, I like the stock but would be willing to ditch it for a better solution. But what would i use to make it become a folder? Second question: i want a push pin in the rear instead of the two hex wrench interface for takedown. What is the part/where do i get it? Thanks in advance Attached File |

I don’t know what lower/stock block combo that is, but most people get a stock block for the factory UMP folding stock. Think they make stock blocks for ACR stocks too, and maybe others. Haga Defense makes a 1913 pic rail stock block, so you could use any folding pic rail stock. But, all of these are usually designed to work with HK UMP lowers. For a push pin for the stock block, HDPS makes this. https://hdps.org/product/hk-usc-stock-bloc-b-or-c-pin-washer-ring-4/ But, I’m not a fan of the key ring holding it in. Easy to lose and a bit of a hassle to remove and install when I want to remove the stock. If you want as close as you can get to an actual UMP, you have two options: The first option is to have your USC receiver cut and an a real UMP rear section grafted on. Since TommyBuilt went tango uniform I think there is only one other place doing plastic receiver welding, Black Ops Defense. This route is costly and will take time, but it will give you the correct push pin / folding stock rear end. The other option is to buy an entirely new receiver (an S5 Tactical SMP semi auto) and transfer all your parts over. You will of course need a UMP specific trigger housing as well, but you'd be able to use your USC trigger guts. And if I remember right your USC barrel will not work (different breach face I think?), so you'll need a UMP barrel. And much like the receiver surgery this route quickly becomes very costly and is usually better pursued if you are building a gun from parts. The other options are various stock blocks that allow the use of pistol grips and folding stocks, but they extend the back end of the receiver so your LOP is longer than it should be. But they are cheap and the least "invasive". |

As a note, the LOP increase over a receiver fuse job or a S5 receiver is pretty small, maybe 1/2”. Nothing like the LOP increase of the SL8 over a G36. The stock block conversions are the cheapest by far. Regarding the barrel, if you use the USC bolt, you can use a cut down USC barrel or a UMP barrel. It’s the UMP bolt that you can’t use with a USC barrel because of differences in the bolt and barrel faces. |
