so I have been on the waiting list for a long time for any solid color for the smaller regular kit bag, stubby or any other that will hold a G19. Just got outbid on eBay again and again. I bought an Emerson gear version in ranger green and I love it but it's too big. Actually made out of cordura and pretty nice but too wide for my frame. https://www.amazon.com/EMERSONGEAR-Recon-Combat-Tactical-Coyote/dp/B07B93B8BQ I got a 5.11 skyweight on sale and got it in M81 and wish I got it in a solid color. Attached File I bought the large chest rig. I can carry a G40 (in 10mm) in one pouch, and some snacks/keys/miscellaneous crap in the other. A TQ on the bottom, and a small IFAK on my belt. Great for hiking in the Smoky Mountains National Park. |

It's worth it. As for price - their stuff is made in America. The cheap 3 day packs you are thinking of, most of them are made overseas. The cost of American labor is what makes it so expensive. Also, the hill people rigs are small(er) batch items, not directly made by HPG, and are actually relatively complex, even though smaller in size than a 3 day packs. Some of the 3 days packs are not as complicated, labor wise, to make as the HPG chest rigs. |

I've had my eye on this one after the other thread about chest packs. Helikon-Tex Bushcraft Line Chest Pack Numbat I borrowed a HPG rig and it was nice. I can't justify the price of either one at the moment as I don't hike often enough with a pack. |

I use the HPG running chest pack when going to pick up the son from school. When rucking to do the same , I have a HPG fanny pack. The runner pack is tighter with a Glock 48, phone, badge, house key, than the fanny pack is. Just stuck the runner chest pack on my SOE pack for some conservation hike rucking the other day. Had my phone, SA champion operator LW, and badge strapped straight to the shoulder straps. They are great bags and packs that will hold up well. |

It's in coyote I believe. |

I also have an OG coyote Kit Bag that has had a lot of miles put on it. I use the Original Snubby for backpacking (set up for G43). Best size I've found is the "medium" size for me for other activities. I have way too many Kit Bags; they were perfectly for concealed carry doing a host of outdoors activities. ROCK6 |

Good choice and you won't be disappointed. I know there are a lot of "feature-rich" alternatives on the market, but the beauty (aside from recon versions) is the simplicity of Kit Bags. It does just the perfect amount of minimalism for CCW and a great platform for a few essentials you want at hand. These types of platforms have proven perfect for integration with backpacks where you don't do distance trekking with bulging pockets. Congrats and let us know your thoughts when you get it. ROCK6 |

Pre-order... https://kitanica.com I've had a HPG for about 10 yrs. Only thing I'd like to change is to have velcro panel on the interior. To attach a modular kydex holster with full Velcro backing. Like Crossbreed makes et al. I bought a CB velcro backed kydex holster for a SW 442, but the footprint was too big for a FannyPack I already had (Cole-tac, fully lined with velcro - think more of a med pouch). I plan to use the Kitanica for this role (kydex with Velcro backing) and for G19 size (with a Vanguard style trigger guard). |

I didnt really like mine as a chest pack, the way they designed it, I took a salvaged shoulder strap, and webbing off a gas mask bag….. and made a sling pack. A lot more handy for me, and what I use it for. Mainly being able to wear it over a life vest, then once on land, adjust real quick to wear normal. Also if it camp, can sling it real quick to find a tree to poop by and all your needed clean up supplies are right there in front. Attached File |

so I got my kit bag and did not realize I won a "kit bag FULL" and it's too big for me. Anyone want to trade a regular kit bag medium for a kit bag "full"? Mine is CB in color I actually had issues using my glock and my trigger cover. It moves around inside and the lanyard got wrapped around the light and did not draw during practice today. My 5.11 chest pack is the perfect size and I need to try a kit bag runners or snubby to fit me better. I also did not like how the HPG does not have those pull tabs to open quickly |
