Ok got a bunch of approved form 1s for other things but now I want to submit one for a 300 black out subs only host has 8.5" barrel and bolt action. I tried and older reflex form 1 30. cal and it's not that quiet. 8" long 1.5dia with 3" blast chamber and 12 cones tight stacked. sounds good on my 16" .308 with subs or supers. Maybe my form 1 sucks for 300bo? I don't even know what to design for this. Any cutaways for prints for 300 bo specific cans? I'm in no rush so I am just trying to come up with something. I may just hit easy button and form 4 as I want it to be quiet. I can't even submit a form one as I don't even have an OAL in mind yet. I am guessing 8" or less |

First it depends on subs or supers. If subs you want a lot of baffles, start with cones and end up with redials. Cones are better for higher pressure, radials are better for lower pressure. Take advantage of that in your design say 4 or 5 cones and then 7 or 8 ( or more ) radials as the pressure in the can drops with length. If the can is for supers you need to give them room to breath, larger spacing less baffles. I have a 7.5 inch 30 cal form 1 can, stuffed with iirc 10 or 12 cones. On my 8.3 AR with supers the can is loud, more accurately the port pop is loud. The can sounds way better on an 11.5 5.56 AR, the over bore cuts down on port pop pressure. It sounds great on my 6.5 CM bolt, a lot more powder and it sounds better than a 8.3 300 ar with supers. With subs or on my bolt 300 it sounds great as the port pop is not there. |

ok just got a Rossi brawler and it's quite with same can I don't know why but those bear creek arsenal bolt action upper is LOUD vs the brawler I'm guessing the longer barrel is making sups supers? |
