finally broke down and got a "security cabinet".... its only 30 minutes rated and only about 350 pounds empty, so I cant quite bring myself to call it a safe... but if someone wants to try and carry it out loaded, I aint gonna try and stop them either..... Rhino "Kodiak" series 42 gun "safe"... set me back just under 600 at the fleet/farm store. Got it in place and filled (so far) this morning. I am thinkin the "42" gun rating is a bit "optimistic" unless one is storing a shitload of PPK's and Makarov's in the damn thing.... I need some rifle rods so my CARBINES will fit, but thats a small thing... couplea bucks worth of dowels will do that nicely....   the 1k rounds of .223 sure doesnt look like a whole lot either..... I gotta work on that... next up.. reloading press |

It's an additional layer of security. Nothing more, nothing less. I know I'm not going to keep bad guys out of my house if they really want in. But what I can do is force them to a time limit/smash and grab. And in that context, my RSCs are sufficient to keep my guns safe. |

Oscar (the frenchie) and Skye (Tanks sister) can help with cleanup when he is done with them..... then they can all sit around the rest of the day licking their asses to get the taste out of their mouths.....

That can help support the floor and give the floor some more resistance to being torn up. |
