Hey all. Been a long time since I have done any serious work with the FAL platform. Finally got mine out that has been in hiding for a while, full rifle length, and I have run out of up in the front sight post while still being 5-6" low at 50. Base on a quick dial caliper measurement, my front post is already ~.020" shorter than the shortest post offered by DSA. Rifle does have the Holland style rear sight which I like for its simplicity, and understand that it should be zero-d at 250. But, being close to 3x height over bore low at 50 sure doesn't seem right? Am I doing something wrong? The only other variable I can think of to consider is that I am running an AAC 762-SDN6 suppressor way out there on it. I wouldn't think that to be enough barrel deflection at 50 to give me the results I've ended up with, but perhaps I am over estimating FAL barrel rigidity? |

Will try next time I make it out. Was zero-ing with mostly Magtech M80, think I ran a mag or so of the last of some old chilean surplus just to burn it up. |
