| So with DOJ not filing, can a person make homemade suppressors? TN is very suppressor friendly. Do I get solvent trap kits and try to see what works? Just want a .22LR to get my feet wet. |

Rimfire cans are gateway drugs. Do you really want to go through life addicted? Don't end up like me man. I should have picked up another shift today and instead stayed home and ordered another .22 can. Now my family will see me even less as I'll be out back playing with my new toy. This is no kind of life  J/k If you have a 3d printer that is the easiest way to dip your toes into the rimfire suppressor world. As a bonus you can also print much of the firearm to actually use the suppressor. |
| I was about to start a thread on this very subject. Before I let the 3d printer go BRRR, Id like to find out for sure. I live in Indiana which is a pretty 2A friendly state, but if this isnt a for sure thing, I dont know what data my printer and computer share with other parties. Even in offline mode, I have trust issues. |

I recommend the FTN.5 30mm 22lr slim. https://guncadindex.com/@stillcold:a/FTN.5-Suppressor-Pack:2a?query=ftn.5   It costs less than $1 per suppressor in filament, maybe a little bit more if you use PA6-CF instead of PLA+/PLApro. You don't have to use a metal thread adapter but your barrel threads will last longer if you do. I think it's as good or better than many commercial ones. |

I want a nice fat .22lr can for my AR22. I want to use 1.5" aluminum or titanium tube that is ASR threaded and then 3d print a monocore flow though internal. I have $1500 to spend on a printer. What should I get? My wife has a Ender-3 V3 for craft printing but I want something better. |

There's tons of threads in this forum about using solvent traps. However, about 5 years ago the BATFellows cracked down on the makers (leading to one of the better ones to kill himself). There are still some companies selling them, but they are often called different things, like "storage tubes". There are also Chinese kits on Amazon, but many of these are pre-drilled and look like a felony to me. I would avoid those.
