Just curious why they currently only have K cans in their most recent line-up. Pictured below is CRS 556 and PRG 762 next other brands' K cans. Minus the QD attachment they are around the same size. |

Maybe KAC defines "K" cans as those in the sphere of the MCQ. There is not a universal definition of "K" can. |

The short cans are the MCQ's. I have both the CRS 5.56 and 7.62's, current generation and previous generation. The length is essentially the same as before, but the current gen is wider. The current CRS line is very effective, so there's really no need to add more volume/weight. I highly recommend it, including to those without a Knight's rifle. |

Im just curious why there isn't an additional model which is longer and quieter. Historically there has been....like before they used to have the PRS as an option. Some of us put importance on decibels first and foremost and prefer long-boys.

High durability needs material/weight High sound reduction *generally* requires more length Reduced backpressure requires additional venting, which reduces sound performance and increases weight Performance and physical characteristics are a balance, and in the world that drives suppressor development, durability, size, weight, backpressure, and flash are the most important attributes in most cases. |
