I just picked up my Aftershock, and I'm impressed so far. It's very compact, easy to hit targets inside 50 feet with just point and shoot, and it handles pretty much all the ammo I'm feeding it, including inexpensive birdshot for practice. That said, I'd like to add a red dot to it and I'd like some opinions on what you think works best. Shake-awake (motion sensor) would be nice, as well as a good size objective. This will become my primary home defense weapon (inside the house), and I'm enjoying training with it except that more than 2 boxes of buckshot in a row are no longer pleasant (hence the birdshot for practice). | RMR or RMSc? I recently mounted an Osight RMR pattern with the circle dot on my Benelli Supernova and have shot two 3 gun matches with it and it has performed very well. I had a Holosun on it originally and bought the Osight at a gun show and liked the window more so swapped it. For $150 it has been worth it. |

I mounted a Sig Romeo5 on my 590. It does require a picatinny rail section though. With shake awake. Very hay with it. I have no problem venting silhouettes at pistol distances or smoking clay pigeons from a hand thrower. I've got one on a AR15 carbine and a buddy buys them for all his ARs. They are a pretty decent budget sight. Will it hold up to 12ga.? Guess I'll find out at some point.
