| This was my first year as SOT. I think I understan I will not get a notice, so when should I pay the SOT for 2025? |

I'm gonna pay mine tomorrow. In my 25+ years in the FFL world, I've always been super-early, figured I'd see what happens if I'm sliding in at the last minute. :D June 30th is my birthday, so I figured I always was destined to be a SOT. Edit to add: Because I made my Pay.gov payment for the 2025 SOT on the 30th, everyone gets $0 suppressors. I feel like the government was waiting specifically for me to get that one, last $500 tax in before they changed the scheme. You're all welcome. :D Guess I'll transfer in a post-sample this week just to get my money's worth. |

I emailed the [email protected] email a couple weeks ago because it had been a month since filing mine amd I saw others getting them back in 2 weeks. Before i could even read the auto-reply and see that I should have emailed "[email protected]" instead; I got an email from [email protected] saying they had mailed my receipt out a week before and if it didn't come in another weekend to let them know. I replied "thanks, that was fast" and got a "you're welcome" within minutes. It showed up in the mail that day. If you refuse to call them on the phone, you can also try reaching them through "ask the experts" on eforms |

When I called the NFA branch (first thing I did actually…), they gave me the [email protected] email address and said email them…..

Did the "ask the experts" today via eForms, and got an email back in about 5 minutes saying "It was approved on 6/30 and mailed the next day via USPS." I have no idea if she meant my request for a replacement was "approved", or if it took them 5 weeks to "approve" my payment. So in any case, the original or a replacement was in the mail on 7/1, and my wife just texted me a picture from the PO Box, so it looks like it has arrived today (7/8.) Still never heard anything from the [email protected]...... |
