What’s everyone’s favorite upper to run on their M16? Mine are the Colt LMG upper and MK18 upper. What about you? |

Depends on the 'outing' for me. The LM7 is a ton of fun but best kind of cumbersome. Old video of mine running 500 rounds with no malfunctions.  500rnd-lm7.wmv My short 7.62x39s have always been one of my favorites. Colt LMG upper with the hydraulic buffer is just straight up fun in long bursts and full on mag dumps. M16A1 upper in short controlled bursts is a lot of fun. I was expecting it to be a bit much, but surprisingly the XM607 setup is a hoot to shoot, the stock is actually quite comfortable and the 10.25" barrel I used on the upper must have the gas port at just that sweet spot- it is more controllable and enjoyable than an 11.5" upper, go figure! When I could get it to run the Ares Shrike Upper was fun, but it was just too finicky so I got rid of it. Sven Manticore Arms |
