Lgs just got in an H&R M1. A very quick glance at it shows a worn finish and the barrel was stamped "1-10" preceeded "CBI"? 0-0 wear at muzzle and chamber light blue hangtag. Figured it must be a new Criterion. The shaft on the rear sight was well below the windage knob, but didn't see if it had a lockbar. Figured it was a pre-lockbar short shaft sight. No price a they were still trying to figure out the value but I'm guessing it'll be over-priced. That's the way this place operates. It's either way over-priced or it's buy-me-now don't-haggle-before-they-change-their-mind cheap.  They're really into archery and don't know squat about guns. |

Thanks. Mine has the post war rear sight and the pinion on this one stopped well short of the end of the hole. But l agree. Seems odd to have a pre-war, or early war piece, on a rebuilt post war rifle. I went back later for a better look but they had closed. Not interested in buying it, just curious as to the parts/pieces and what the price will be. |
