That looks rad. Beyond the fantastic ventilation, the Wet Werx hoodie on its own provides a lot of visual disruption with the mesh material; way more than a typical field jacket. |

Also, you can layer and mix and match camo patterns - wearing, say, woodland under it, ie, adding some darker green. I'd TOTALLY buy another Wet Werx hoodie if they did one in ATACS ix - they make the same mesh they use in ATACS ix (the mesh used in the item linked in the original post) - as alot of my gear I make for myself is in ATACS ix. (it's a pretty good camo overall, and works well with just about everything else. Multicam and variants, woodland, tiger stripe, etc. all look good working with ATACS ix) |

I'd like one in ATACS AU, but I'm a sucker for that pattern. I needed some more synthetic longsleeve shirts, so I got a couple off of slamazon. One's solid tan, the other's a Multicam-esque pattern, but way more vivid. Works great underneath the hoodie. |

Since it isn’t absorbent or breathable it feels really warm unless there’s a breeze. I ditched it last summer in favor of wearing sun hoodies. |

Look for shirts that have mesh up and down the side and under the armpit / sleeve like these do. At that point a regular field blouse is preferable. |

I wear mine with an Under Armor synthetic longsleeve and have none of those issues: no chafing with a ruck, chest rig, PC or belt kit; no breathability issues. Doesn't even rub on my neck. The UA shirt has a little more "loft"/thickness than some of my other shirts. Maybe that's the key. I have the no-zip style so there's no pressure point down the middle as there could be when wearing a PC. No comparison with a field blouse. |
