Put cash down on this and picking it up soon. A Savage Model 720 Riot in excellent condition.  The military procured approximately 14,500 to 15,000 Model 720s between 1943 and 1944 to support the war effort, the vast majority for aerial gunnery training. They had 24" or 26" barrels and Cutts Compensators/Polychokes on the end. Out of the entire order, 1,500 were purchased in riot configuration for issuance to MPs, war plant guards, and POW camp guards. |

Very nice...............I just took an old Winchester 1897 and turned it into a trench gun, and have a Stevens 520-30 that will become one after the first of the year Your's looks brand new |

Finally picked up the WWII Savage 720 riot shotgun. It is mint and my Father loves it. He's a huge Browning Auto 5 fan and a huge martial shotgun fan since he humped a shotgun most of his career and has had the need to use them. He's tickled pink and loves the fact that the same shotgun sold for over $5k. And I only paid $800 for it.
