I would avoid buying anything pre drilled. The pictures in this ad show a drilled cap. Another reason to avoid any of these Chinese things is that, even if they show undrilled parts, it might ship to you actually drilled. I was looking at "flashlight reflectors" on Amazon and saw a review that said the parts that were sent had holes in them. I saw a similar review on ebay. Even if you have an approved F1, there is an argument that you violated the GCA if you take possession of drilled parts. IANAL, so I'm not 100% positive, but I like to stay on the safe side of things. |

None of the recent court cases change the laws regarding what is and isn't a silencer and the regulations when purchasing. If the ATF has determined (they have) a drilled or spot faced part is a silencer, it means it's a firearm and would need to be transferred in accordance with state and fed laws. More to the point, that thing will be a waste of time. Could it drop some dB, sure. But I've messed up enough K baffles to know when you've reached too much venting. Not sure if the ones in Ecco's chinese solvent trap thread are still being sold, but I'd start there, if going this route. |
