I am looking to get a mid sized Chinese made ultrasonic cleaner to pair with my Econoline Benchtop blast cabinet. It’ll be used for frames and receivers and brass. I won’t be doing any barrels or anything larger than a 1/2” socket wrench. So for about $200-250 you can get - 480 watts - Drain - Big enough for my need Anyone happy with what you’ve bought? Or, did you want to go larger? |
| I've got a Vevor cleaner off Amazon. Cannot fill it with solvent based cleaners and it's a cheapo Chinese thing but works well enough to clean carburetors. First thing I learned is that some liquid cleaners will eat aluminum in an ultrasonic. So, I stick with simple green or soapy water. For really oily things like nuts and bolts I have a glass mason jar I fill with solvent and put in the tank. |

Pretty sure the green Simple Green states right on the label not to use with aluminum, the purple Simple Green Pro HD is safe for aluminum as long as not heated above 109°F, then it breaks down and becomes corrosive. |

This thread is relevant for my interests as I've been wanting one myself. The Vevor ones have my attention, but I'm open to other brands. For smaller parts, just fill the main tank with water and use the basket to suspend a mason jar of whatever cleaner you use inside the tank with the parts inside of it. It helps use less solution and clean faster. Heated tanks are great too. Also one with a drain valve is useful, as I have to pour out the one at work. It's annoying, but it is pretty small. (I'm not looking at the brand from work as they are $$$ medical ones) |
