https://www.dsarms.com/p-13512-dsa-fal-sa58-us-made-steel-metric-pattern-magazine-20-round.aspx DSA FAL SA58 U.S. Made Steel Metric Pattern Magazine - 20 Round ![]() Item Number: 11720-A Shipping Weight: 0.53 Price: $34.95 DSA FAL SA58 U.S. Made Metric Pattern Magazine - 20 Round These magazines were successfully tested in dozens of FAL type rifles including pre ban semi auto rifles, registered select fire rifles and numerous generations of DS Arms made SA58 FAL rifles. These test rifles included multiple Belgian, Argentine FSL, Brazilian SAR48, factory Israeli FAL and an original receiver STG58. Then out of multiple vintages of DSA rifles and aftermarket receiver types. Manufactured by DS Arms. 7.62x51mm - .308 Win. 20 Round Capacity. Steel Body Construction. SCAR Type Follower Design. Reinforced Steel Rib. Stamped Steel Floor Plate. Designed For Use In Metric Pattern FAL Rifles. This Magazine counts as three (3) 922r compliancy parts. These magazines will also work in the KelTec RFB 7.62x51mm rifle as well as early generation Rock River Arms LAR-8. These magazines will also fit Inch Pattern L1A1 rifles however we do not guarantee fit & function due to the differences between Inch and Metric rifles. Please Note: As with any manufactured product which has been designed to fit and work with a large number of other companies' products some fitting or minor break in may be required. Some rifles had a tighter fit then others. ------------- Just a quick FYI in case anybody is interested. They are available at the time of this post. Looks like a 5 magazine limit when ordering. |

I’ll try a few, just placed order for 4 magazines. BTW, don’t forget they offer free shipping to Arf.Com Also wanted to add I’ve had good experience so far with DSA polymer FAL mags so far. Have used them at the range and haven’t had any issues yet but I don’t keep them loaded between range sessions so can’t speak for long term loaded use. |

Just looked in the Industry section to find the post about it but seems they don’t have an industry partner section anymore. Not sure if they still offer the free shipping or not. |

No time to range test them but figured I see how they fit. They are crazy tight in my receiver. Tight enough I couldn’t initially remove them by hand. I used a small rubber mallet to get them to unlock while holding the magazine release. All 4 are the same. After rocking them in and out holding the release they loosened enough I can do it by hand but still way tighter than any other magazine I have. Then when I loosened them all up a bit I looked for any tell tale signs of rubbing and only thing I found was on my receiver inside the mag well. I’ve included a picture but to be absolutely honest I couldn’t say this wear wasn’t there before these magazines but this is a very new gun that I’ve only had to the range 2 times for a total of about 160 rounds. Attached File Going to keep them and try them out next time I’m shooting. |

I wish PSA would just buy out DSA and fix this. Then give us H&R FALs |

I only ordered one, because the polymer ones are not good fits. This one fits pretty well. It is a bit tighter than the Israeli mags I have, which are perfect. But it’s not any struggle to seat or release like the polymer are. Of course, I have a DSA receiver, so I would kinda hope they fit! Attached File |

I had to return and get refunded 5 mags. The mag feed lips on these were the same as SCARs and the followers probably too. I shot mine thru my DS Armrs Para. Everything cycled fine until I looked down at these magazines from above. I compared the just fired magazine next to the never fired magazine. Yep,. The just fired magazine had a plastic chip broke off its feeding lips. DS Arms just might have a Winner here if they did what Ruger does with their 10/22 magazines. Answer:Metal Feeding Lips. |

The new metal mag feed lips are metal. My polymer mags swole up when loaded fully, but nothing broke off them that I noticed. |

I dont get this. How har are they to make? I get the feed lip but thats any mag. I have a cobbeled togethered mag with a USA bottom plate that overhangs the bottom so much I ground it down after bending it back flat with a 2 pound sledge. (to be fair to who ever made I'm not 100% sure its for an FAL mag) It has a pink spring that is not uniformly bent. The follower nylon(?) with file marks or maybe a beaver chewed on it. The mag tube looks like somene drove tent pegs with it. A lot of tent pegs. I did bang out the the dent that they made when they tried driving a railroad spike ( kind of) I have around 20 different FALs (out of state with the mag you fat Fred Flinstone looking piece of shit) All have fired a full mag without a stopage. I have never had a stoppage. So it seems there is one critical part. To tell you the truth the feed lips dont look that hot either. |

I understand manufacturing magazines is not all that easy if you're starting from scratch but there are plenty of mag manufactures they could turn to that don't make junk. Checkmate comes to mind... I forget who it is but there is a Korean manufacturer that is making metal metric mags, they are getting good reviews at the Files. I am aware there was a Korean manufacturer a while back that made junk mags but these mags are G2G. I'll try to find a link... |

Were they the United Defense ones from KeepShooting? I’ve been curious about them myself. https://www.keepshooting.com/fal-magazine.html My stash is healthy on 20s but I really want someone to get reliable 30s back on the market so my FALO will look more awesome.

Not sure why the folks below you are excited about DSA 20 rd metal mags being in stock, unless they have improved them. To be totally fair, I have seen plenty of old tired surplus FAL mags that don’t function great as well. But at least they have some reason- wear and tear… I would skip these DSA’s until the make the work better. |

Just got them in the mail. Shipping eas lighting fast..like day of fast. Both lock in perfectly. Only tried 9 rounds in each because its like 3 degrees and dark out so I was a baby, but both mags ran 9 rounds and locked back. Will check in later. |

A guy at the files purchased and received the new DSA mags very recently and they resemble milsurp metric mags, a DSA rep confirmed they made changes to the mags. So hopefully these will work. Pics of the mags are in this link: DSA Mags |
