This is mostly a personal preference thing but I thought I would get some input from the great and the wise. I started this build to reduce the weight of my suppressed carbine auto setup but I can't help thinking I may be better off going with a 13.9"barrel (as opposed to the 12.5" i had planned) so I can have a mid length gas system. Considering all the tinkering I have done over the years to slow down my auto carbine, and the other benefits of mid gas I am really tempted. The thing that holds me back putting a suppressor out there another 1.4". My current 12.5 is already plenty heavy with a suppressor all the way out there. |
