4.6” on the LMT Regulator mount. Rhodie 6 on a DA Xeno is a smidge over 6”  Polo K on a DA Xeno didn’t measure it  Going to try it out Monday or Tuesday. I’ll take my Rhodie 6, Fireteam 556,and Rhodie 6k. I want to see how it is on my 11” HK 556 A4 factory SBR house gun that sports the 6k and the 10.5” FRT rifle I just built that I’ve had the R6 on.

What I learned today. 1. The Tisha performs way better on SBR’s than I thought it would. My 10.5” FRT build and factory HK 556 A4 SBR both sounded phenomenal. I’m going to keep it on the HK. Solid 4:00 ejection on the normal setting with a 1.8 gas screw. 2. The Tisha sounds as good as the Rhodie 6 on those two SBR’s. 3. The Rhodie 6k on my 10.5” build will run in semi and FRT with the Riflespeed set on 12 and still eject the cases at 3:30-4:00. 4. The Rhodie 6 sounds significantly better on my G$ 18” Stratomatch 6 ARC than my CAT Noah. 5. Frontier 6 ARC 105’s average 2643 fps and shoot 5 round groups under an inch at 100. 6. 1/2” AR500 steel barely gets a pock mark from the Frontier FMJ’s. More damage than 5.56, but barely any. 7. My 21 year old Puerto Rican step son that has only been to the range 3 times (all with me) can hammer a 4” steel plate at 200 yards with the 6 ARC at will. 8. The aforementioned 21 year old doesn’t want to back to PR so he can stay here and shoot. lol 9. A lot of singed fingers were had swapping cans around on rifles as much as I did today. I was even using a crescent wrench and a Capitol Armory potholder. The Tisha is a keeper and I wouldn’t be scared to pick up another one.

Nice! I know the thread is about the Tisha, but I recently got my Rhodie 6 TI which appears to be the TI twin to your Rhodie, Xeno and all. I put some rounds through my shorty 5.56 and 6 ARC while doing some load development and gel tests and would agree that it seems to best my Noah TI in both sound (by a little) and backpressure. I've been tempted to pick up a Tisha as well, and I'm pretty pleased my SAW Katan, might need to go ahead and take the plunge.... I wonder if the 7.62 version has the same magic as the 5.56/6mm version?

I love both of them. The 6 is quieter to me, but not that much on the SBR’s I tried yesterday. The 6k feels more at home to me on an SBR. I did have the 6 on my 10.5” build and the 6k on my 11” HK. That put both rifles within a 1/2” of each other, but the HK is a lot heavier to start with. I have an LMT 11.5” SBR and a Blackout Defense 13.7” SBR I was to try the 6k on just to see if I like it better on either one than I do my 10.5”. The LMT is currently wearing a Polo K and BRT gas tube. The BOD has a Sierra 5 thrown on it, but I need to replace it with something. I don’t know if I want to get another Tisha TI or a 6k TI because she’s already a heavy bitch. My M249S Para has been SBR’d and needs to bring some hate, so the Sierra 5 is going to get raped when the FRT’s come out. |

I like to dedicate a can to a rifle so I can “tune” it with some safety margin and I don’t have to move stuff around or worry about a rifle not working with a can. I can just grab and go. No sense in me stopping the madness now.

Curious where the FT556 fit in to your comparison? I'm interested in all the cans but picked up a FT556 on sale recently, kind of as a place holder to the RC2 for my HRT clone. Currently don't have a real "need" to own a Tisha or Rhodie 6 or 6k but want all of them which makes no sense lol This is my current lineup of rifles for short 5.56 cans 13.9" which i picked up an Mini 2 for, it'll get a BRT tube. It's the shortest config I could manage for a 13.9" P/W 11.5" Pistol which wears a resonator K which I'm going to get rid of. 11.5" HRT clone which I'm planning on putting the FT556 on. So in the meantime I do actually intend to get another dedicated 5.56 can to leave on the pistol |

I’ll get that rifle out to the range to tune it some more and slow the rate of fire down, but on that rifle and on that day I wasn’t as nearly impressed with it sound wise as I’d hoped. The 6k sounded quieter and had a deeper tone, but it was on my 11” HK SBR and the FireTeam was on my 10.5” LWRC SBR. The side by side I did that range trip didn’t have me enamored with the FireTeam. I need to try it more and on more hosts. I had way too much going on during my last range trip with 4 AR’s, my 249S Para, 4 cans and a new shooter. |
