Long story short... They used the Barrett as a Camera mount to film a 308 shot... They did not take into account the differnce in height between scope and bore... They shot the barrel of the Barret and then looked it over. Saw that it had a chunk out and felt it was ok to shoot.. The barrel had a dimple from the 308 round into the bore... The gun went xplody when they fire a round... Barrel split from muzzle brake to chamber. Morons did not lose any digits or eyes and proceeded to make a video of the tear down explaining their stupidity.. They either run or work at a gun shop. They need to just close up and go raise cats. |

They keep talking about how it's fine because it can all be repaired. In what universe? Imagine how sickening it would be to have your barrel wrecked by your idiot buddy and his .308 in a moment of stupidity. At that point, okay, you can replace the barrel. But it's going to cost. What would posses someone to double down and just say "hey, let's see if it blows up!" Absolute best case you still have to replace that barrel.  Good job retards, now you get to buy a new rifle (more likely they will beat the receiver back into shape with a hammer and try to fire it again). The 82A1 was my grail gun. I just can't imagine!

At 7:55 he says the lower is "pretty much unharmed." Says it's got some bending but can be sent back to Barrett to get it put back together. At 10:23 it's said again that the only damage to the lower is the bent front portion and it's not gonna be too difficult to get it flexed back.

| My first guess was a bore obstruction, never would have guessed that an idiot would shoot the barrel with another rifle. I would not have shouldered that fifty with a questionable barrel. That round and any rifle that shoots it is not something to take lightly. It also looked like the brake threads might be buggered, but who cares at that point. |
