I had 2 x Form 4's approved a few weeks ago with no issues. Today I received 2 disapprovals because I didn't put the Trust name in Box 2 on the form when they were filled out the exact same as submitted with the forms that were approved a couple weeks ago. Now I get to resubmit these forms with the change and then wait to see if the other 9 forms I submitted will be either approved or disapproved (maybe some of each) using the original forms. I waited to submit the rest of the forms until the first ones were approved to make sure I did everything right but I guess approval doesn't actually mean things were done right. Not being able to modify a form and resubmit without filling everything out again is just stupid. ETA: It appears you can still add documents to a submitted form so I added the corrected 5320.23's to each of the remaining submissions. |

Yeah I put “(Fixed Box 2)” after the new file with the rest being the same as the original file name. It seems to have worked as I got 2 more approved forms yesterday. I resubmitted the disapproved forms as well as one that I missed added a responsible party somehow. |

I originally hoped they’d just be tossed. The eForms system is a compromise; better, but not perfect. A few years ago, I was a little too fast on copy-and-pastes and put my LLC name on everything. Back then, I owned stuff in both LLCs and in my own name. They caught some and approved others. Never did figure that out. |
