If I went out and bought a Winchester 1892 (Miroku) in 357 caliber with a round, 20" barrel, what should I expect from it? Are they accurate? How accurate are they? Are they light and "handy" (like a M1 carbine)? Are they reliable right out of the box? Tell me of your experiences with them, good, bad or otherwise. P.S. - It seems everyone is modifying theirs or adding a scope or "tactical" furniture or all of the above. I'd like a peep sight but that's about it. |

| They are very handy little carbines and handle effortlessly. You should get 2" at 50 yards or better depending on sights and loads. They are a very high quality rifle. I dont really ever see them don in a tactical way much. Mostly left as is with maybe a peep sight. |

I suppose I could of shimmed it myself but I wanted Winchester to know about the problem and do the work right. I didn't like the rebounding hammer, they bug me. Plus your very limited to tang sights with the tang safety. It's hard to beat Skinner peep sights. |
