Say I’m putting a 9mm HUB mount can on a threaded barrel 9mm pistol. Can you just put any old piston/HUB mount on it or does it have to be matched to the load or caliber? Probably a dumb question but I’m counting on your expertise so be gentle.  Srsly though, thanks in advance. |

The thread pattern correlation to certain calibers is mostly consistent with pistols, but there are certain instances where special attention is due, like SIG .40 cal conversion barrels that are M13.5x1 LH. Muzzle registering pistons or mounts in that pattern generally have a through bore smaller than that. There also is, or at least was, a .44 mag lever gun with M13.5x1 LH muzzle threads.
