If I suppress my AP51, will it need a different locking piece or rollers? I don't know shit about HK's. Tony |

I’ve got a PTR K3P that I sbred - basically a G3k clone - and while I haven’t taken it out for a while, I tried to do the same thing and wound up swapping the locking piece for a G21E’s locking piece, a #17/36 degree locking piece, IIRC. HOWEVER - you need to check bolt gap; it’s not drop-in…and, it might not function without the can. It’ll be a bitch to unlock, at least mine is. The weird thing is, I swapped the locking piece, put in the new rollers and bolt gap was still a hair too long, and I never really used it much…a couple years later I dragged it out to check, and bolt gap had miraculously closed to being within spec somehow. The only decent source of rollers I knew of at the time was Robert RTG Parts but I don’t know if they’re the only game in town - I’m sure with your contacts you won’t have a problem sourcing HK parts  The locking piece I got from HKParts, and RCM. I should take it out and shoot it some more now that I think about it

Tony Seeing that Bill Fleming created that monster for an SAS contract way back when, I’ve never found much data. If I were you I’d reach out to Jeff at Parabellum Combat. He knew Bill and he would have as much passed down data on those fine weapons as anyone I’d imagine. I’m attaching an HK document from 2007 that lists locking pieces for various HKs for your reference if you don’t have it already. I’m scared to shoot mine as my PTR 51 is the OG version with the funky German threads. I finally found a flash hider with those threads that is plan B/hub compatible but I’m worried it isn’t lined up truly. I may just yolo it tonight and hope I don’t launch my jailbroken SDN-6. There is no way I’m trying my Vent 1 on that gun lol.
