| For anyone shooting thier SP45A3 suppressed. What is your solution to the seemingly lengthy threaded muzzle. The piston assembly of the Hux 45M bottoms out on the muzzle. Some say that's to be expected, but I can't get a straight answer from Stribog nor Huxwrx. I'm leaning towards 3-lug, but I'm curious. 1) Anyone else run into this problem 2) If not, or if you have resolved it, what was your solution? |

I run my SP45A3 suppressed. I started first with the Rugged Obsidian 45 using the piston and fixed barrel spacer and then since moved to a 3-lug setup using a SiCo 3 lug muzzle device, KVP 3 lug adapter, and Mojave 45. I think my 3 lug is indexed off the muzzle. The problem on the Stribog is that there is a fairly long distance between the big shoulder and the end of the muzzle, and only part of that length is threaded. Unless you get a piston or adapter with deep threading that can reach all the way to the that shoulder, it’s going to index off the muzzle. I haven’t had any issues. |

Most .45 threaded barrels in .578x28 don't use a shoulder, so muzzle devices mount off the face of the barrel. That's normal, guessing it goes back to the available metal on 1911 barrels. Stribog also had a problem of the face of the barrel/ threading not being concentric to the bore in .578x28 , so they were shipping out spacers for free to align off the shoulder of the barrel as well. This will get rid of the gap, if you can mount everything concentric with the spacers.
