First of all, I have a Stoeger double defense side-by-side in 12 gauge and love it. I SBS’d it and it is a perfect gun. I recently came across the exact same gun (but in 20g). It was technically used, but definitely had not been shot much. The seller is somebody that I’ve dealt with before. Brought it home and shot it and it is not firing the second round. When empty it will dry fire normally and give you two trigger pulls on empty chambers. Loaded, it will fire the right side first everytime, but won’t fire the left side in succession. In about five attempts of both barrels loaded, the first round fired every time, and the second round would only fire if I ; put it on safe and then put it back on fire and pressed the trigger several times, and then the second round would fire, sometimes I had to break it open and close it again and then it would dead trigger the previous fired right side and then fire the left side shell. But it definitely wasn’t consistent. It would take one of those two things to get it to fire if it did at all. The seller has offered a refund, but I really like it and the price was right. I’ve already spoken to Stoeger and they’re willing to take a look at it with shipping on my dime that the original seller will end up paying for, but it’s gonna be a nine week turnaround time. Anything to look at or try on my own before I send it back for repair?? |
