Got my deer rifle of desire which is patterned on the ssg69 action. I took range to sight it in and scope didn’t have travel to come to zero at 100 yards. Coming to find out the front scope ring is mounted backwards. It is supposed to pivot off. However it won’t budge. There are no screws for access/removal on front ring. Anyone got leads on how to approach. Also seeking referral to a gun smith familiar with this . Thanks in advance |

Perhaps, use a little light or penetrating oil around the bottom of the ring. Let it sit overnight. Insert a dowel in the ring with the top cap on. Use as large a dowel as will fit. Turn. |
