Hey guys, I've been searching high and low and figured I might as well just ask. A good 8-10 years ago I did a grip reduction in my Gen 3 Glock 19. Filled the grip void and Dremeled it down feels awesome! Back then we didn't have Lone Wolf frames (that I knew of). To finish it, I masked the "grip zone" off and sprayed it with some sort of rubberized coating (I can't remember what it was). It worked well for a few years, very limited use, and had started to peel off around the edges. I scraped it all off the other night and now I need to replace it with something. I've been searching all over, but the trend now is tapes, stickers, and soldering. I bought some hockey tape figuring that would make it look pretty clean, but the grip just sucks. I'm considering truck bed liners, a sheet of rubber sticker and cutting my own grip, devcon (which I think is no longer available), and texturing it as it dries, and just repeating what I did before with some truck under coat spray. Anybody have any ideas? I'd really like to just order a Lone Wolf frame but finances say that will have to wait as work on our house is priority now. Appreciate the tips, tricks, and ideas! |

I put silicon carbide rock tumbling grit by painting the grip surfaces with 2 part epoxy using acid brushes and sprinkling the grit on it and filling in low spots until desired coating. the grip is absolute, and not really for CCW'ing because you will be raw where it rubs. its AMAZING on MagLites or slippery stuff like that. also its killer for stairs. it on an A2 grip.
