I've read that the Mask is better for the first round pop, but the Sparrow is better for accuracy, and easier to clean. So, which one? |

I use a sparrow on my Tikkas. 17hmr and 22. Shot the 17 with the sparrow next to a switchback (also supposed to be better) on a Bergara 17 and couldn't see (hear) much difference. Eta: I was ready to go buy a Mask or Switchback on advise from the LGS. Doubt I will now. |

OCL ti YHM Phantom AAC Element 3 I'm leery of DA with their shenanigans of late. I own a mask, it's a bit overrated IMO. |

| Had the same decision to make a few weeks ago. Settled on the Sparrow for my CZ457. This thread helps to ease my mind over my choice. If it makes me happy I'm going to grab another one for my wifes Bergara BMR Carbon. |

| No experience with the Mask but I’m very happy with my Sparrow on my 10/22. And the Sparrow is very easy to clean. It’s very worth the price and I’m not sure if spending the extra $150 on the Mask would’ve made me any happier. I’ve seen enough positive reviews for the Mask that I don’t think you could go wrong with either choice though. |

Set up side by side, using the exact same rifles, and the same ammunition, and you can clearly hear the difference between my Mask and his Sparrow. He bought a Mask and retired the Sparrow. |

My first rimfire suppressor was a Sparrow. I also have not used it since getting a Mask. The performance difference is quite noticeable. |

| My biggest complaint with the sparrow is I clean my baffles with a stainless pin tumbler and since the front cap is part of the baffles, the finish came right off too. I mostly only use my sparrow on any host that needs the suppressor “tucked” under a rail since the rear can’t come unscrewed. |

| I have 2 SiCo Sparrows, I like them just fine, but haven't owned any other 22lr suppressors. One of mine is the titanium 'brown' or whatever they called their fde/ tan/ camel/ sandalwood color for them. 15th(?) Anniversary, can't recall how many they made. I've only used that one on a Bobcat 21a 22lr (same color scheme), that's a pretty fun setup. |

I went with a Q el Camino and have been happy with it. I clean it about every 1000 rounds, and it is a bit labor intensive but not horrible. They specifically state based on construction not to tumble clean it, and do it by hand. I soak it in ballistol for a few days, most of the goo wipes off then I have to scrub some problems ares with a scouring pad. A friend really likes his thunder beast takedown. |

If it's your 1st suppressor skip the Mask and the Sparrow. Look at the Oculus, the Switchback, the JK Armament 105 RFX and the Q .22 Erector. With a bolt gun you can run a shorter suppressor and still be nice and quiet if you plan on taking it out in the woods hunting. When walking through the woods less is more when it comes to overall length. Just my .02 |
| For the Mask owners, when you remove your dead air can does it leave the bottom on the receiver, watched a you tube video and guy had to use a wrench to remove the Mask and the bottom came off. Is that just an uninformed end user and you tube shenanigans or is it a thing. thanks |
| The Mask has threaded caps on each end so it could thread apart when removing from the barrel depending on how you do it. Its a non issue unless the barrel threads are tucked inside the hand guard or similar. I don't have any hosts that don't allow access to the thread adapter cap on the Mask so I haven't had any issues with that. |

Same with the Sparrow. It’s not really a problem unless it’s tucked under a handguard or something that prevents access to the rear cap. The Otter Creek Labs Ti22 (amongst others) has a semi-permanently attached rear end cap to prevent this issue, it’s also much lighter, I own two o |
