| Seems like a lot of the info/threads on here are pretty dated. Looking at possibly buying a Somo PEQ2A and PEQ15 for builds. Are they worth the money or should I go with "grey market" FP models for much more money? I, of course, plan on putting these on live 5.56 builds. Have y'all been having good with Somogear's current offerings holding zero under recoil? |

Somogear used to be worth the money. I know they enjoyed a mixed reputation in some circles, but I had very good luck with their PEQ clones and still use their NGAL clone. Then SMSLaser came out with the HFXC, and it basically does everything better from a functional standpoint with better reliability to boot. Combine that with the SMSLaser Trinity about to be released, buying a Somo PEQ doesn't make a lot of sense unless you must have those cloner points and the real thing is too expensive. |
