| I’m looking to get four cameras that are not WiFi connected. Maybe a one or two terabyte hard drive for them. There is a lot out there. What would you all recommend for this? Maybe under 1k? |
| I bought a Reolink from Costco and they use PoE for cameras. Installed a few in my warehouse, and so far, so good. Easy setup, easy to get on your phone. |

I believe what he is saying is that you can just setup this system, don't connect it to wifi, and use it like normal from home. I have a system (cheap chinese that i am looking to replace) that you interface with a pc screen and a mouse. It has the option to connect to wifi so you can view your cameras from your phone, but I nevwr have. As far as the system is concerned, internet doesn't exist. |

If you’re worried about someone hacking your camera system, you should also stay off all online forums and get rid of your cell phone if you have one. |

I’m more worried about the government watching my cameras. They can and do watch any camera that connects to WiFi. |

Not if you don't actually connect it to wifi. You're unlikely to find a camera system that doesn't have the feature. You could maybe build one yourself if you'd like. But you won't come out ahead by doing it. |

They can look at my yard all day, maybe offer some lawn advice. I’m not growing anything illegal so I’m not worried about someone seeing my yard. |

I have a hardwired 8 cam system outside, not on any network, loop recording 24/7. It is important to me to be able to check the inside of my house when I am away. Motion and sound sensing are important too. I have 6 Wyze cams for this, 4 inside, 2 outside. I have the unlimited plan and the cams are cheap. I can add as many cams as I want. I don't have it to spy on the wife while I am at work, but one day she didn't have her phone. I actually talked to her through the camera. We ain't getting any younger, and I was worried she had fallen or something......it was handy to get right to her. How many dipshits have Siri and Alexa listening in 24/7 but are afraid of wifi cameras?  Put on some pants before you get another beer and you will have nothing to fear. Don't install cams in your meth lab.

I guess when I looked at Reolink before all I saw was individual cameras with solar panels that had to connect WiFi. I see the recorders with connected camera sets now. I have not seen one single good review other than on Amazon (which at least half are fake) about any other system, so I’ll give it a shot. Thanks all |
