| I'm doing my first form4 this year and am using the SS forms process. I have uploded my FTA eforms data to SS. How does the certifying process work now? Will they still send me a link for an online session or am I good to go after signing the trust documentation? |
| Usually they will let you know it’s ready to certify after the dealer fills out the Form 4. Then you call the dealer and get sent a link to join a joint eForm session on the computer. You answer the RP questions, and then both you and the dealer certify it, and it goes in and the wait begins. You need need to have an eforms account. |

I think they have a newer process where you upload your eforms credentials (user name, password, pin) and once the dealer signs their part it goes to ATF without having to do the online session. |

Correct. I did a customers certification yesterday with the new feature. Once SS drops the transferees eForm into my dealer dashboard, I just click "Prepare & Certify", then when prompted enter my PIN. Very quick and easy. |

Yes its exactly that. The ATF has approved this process. Your credentials are entered then stored encrypted. They are then inserted by the software when prompted to. I did it recently with Capitol Armory. All you do is sign the documents via docusign. |
