Can anyone recommend an inexpensive sight pushing tool? I have a few pistols which require front or rear sight adjustment, and I don't want to break the bank. I would like something fairly universal, not specific to one model or type. |

I have been using the heavily many years now and could not be more pleased. I wore out one head and the sent me a new one free.  
I uses then strips of plastic and tape the sides of the slide to not mar it. |

The one I got off amazon was like 35 bucks. Works amazing but it says unavailable. There are plenty on Amazon that look similar. Just remember to go slow and use plenty of masking tape to prevent marring the slide.

I was to the point that I didn’t care if I broke it and had to buy a new slide. If its that tight, maybe some heat would help. Put it in an oven at 250° for 30 mins, hold with an oven mitt and turn upside down and touch the top of the sight to an ice cube for 30 seconds. Clamp in a pusher and give it a shove. Should give you a little more wiggle room |

I bought an earlier version of this one about 15 years ago and it's held up fine so far. I bought an MGW Sight-Pro 1000 and never looked back. You can find them for around $150 used nowadays, and that's a bargain for what is probably the best sight pusher on the market. Now, I'm collecting shoes and plastic shims in abundance to go with it. This thing will take sights out of a Smith & Wesson M&P without marring the sights or the slide, and that's real work if you've ever tried getting them out the old fashioned way. |

I have the Meprolite USIT, great tool but $$$$. I have MGW Glock tools as well, works great if you do a bunch of Glocks. But the one I use the most and can always rely on is one I built out of 1/2" plate. |

I bought this one many years ago works great. It also has plastic caps where it holds the slide to protect it. Sight Pusher |
