Attached File Going to be too rich for me but it’s cool to see them coming in. |

I was going to be a buyer until I read that this batch will have non-removable muzzle devices, 1-10 twist barrels, and a 2 position gas valve instead of a 4 position. Damn, the lower by itself is $3,170 for the black and $3,370 for grey. |

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/switzerland-facing-39-us-tariff-president-leaves-washington-empty-handed-2025-08-06/ I don’t understand what Trump is trying to achieve. Switzerland is not Mexico, South Korea, Vietnam or China. Anyhow, JDI wants $6200: https://swissarmsusa.com/product/563-lb-preorder/ I am still owed a NATO lower ordered in Nov 2022. I really want that shipped to me before I buy anything else from JDI. For $6200, I can buy an AI or Geissele MRGG. $6200 for a Swiss AK that shoots no better than my Galil ACE 13” rock n’lock makes no sense to me. |

I sell firearms produced by the finest child labor in the world, be it Filipino, Muslim, Mormon, Arizonan, or Texan.

The 39% tariff comes from that trade balance differential calculation. It's not a typical, logical tariff used to protect a fledgling or uncompetitive domestic industry from Swiss subsidization or product dumping. I waited 3 years for SG751 magazines from JDI. |

There's no way to justify the purchase by comparing it to the other available options. It's just a want it and can swallow the price kind of thing. And yes, the Galil ACE 13" rock n'lock is a great and underappreciated rifle. |

I can justify buying a SG 550 or 551 at those prices since they are probably going to stop making them. I cannot justify a “new” SG 563 for $6200 when the purpose was to generate domestic and international sales. 1/10 twist out of a SBR is dumb by every single possible ballistic metric. 75 grain Hornady TAP, 77 gr SMKs, Barnes TSX loads will all be handicapped in this rifle (cough…..pistol). I really wanted this gun and shoot/use it since I don’t have a 553. I am still thinking about the lower since I am still waiting on my SG 55x NATO lower. To me, that makes perfect sense for those of us whom enjoy shooting out SG 55x’s routinely. |

Stgw 25: https://shop.schiessstand.ch/produkt/lmt-defense-halbauto-stgw-25-pe-neue-dienstwaffe-schweizer-armee-16-zoll-5-56x45mm/ ![]() 1/7 twist barrel. SIG Switzerland is going to go bankrupt unless the government subsidizes it (which they already do to some degree). |

I am aware of the formula. I think it was concocted simply to push other nations to “better” trade deals. That is another conversation for general discussion though. |

| I was mildly interested but a smarter purchase would be an MR223 SBR from AU for less money. I understand the tariffs have become a monkey wrench in the works but FOREX was already making Swiss stuff way beyond logic. I paid $2450 for my Exeter 553 and 2850 for my JDI 553R brand new for example. |

The new lower is even overpriced, and while I was told it takes AR-15 triggers on a Youtube video, I am waiting on JDI to confirm this. I am still waiting on a NATO lower I ordered Nov 2022. A grey updated lower would make sense for my Sig 55x’s, but only if it takes AR triggers given the price. |

If by interesting, you mean abominable I totally agree. I think they did a big disservice by not offering the lower with Swiss stock compatibility. An adapter to allow the full catalog of ExeTurd stocks would have been easy. Now Neuhausen has just Cohened up a fantastic rifle with Exeter fuckery. |

The issue I have now once specs have been revealed, they did nothing to address the dust cover (modernize it, not rubber rivets) and a reciprocating charging handle. Like JoshNC said, all they did was Exeturd the 55x to produce the 56x. I really had high hopes for this rifle, but reality has set in. Let's hope the 57x will give us a SCAR or B&T APC like platform with a Sig 55x operating system with appropriate improvements. That might be another 30 years from now though

The people who made the decision probably don’t even know that Sig exports guns to the US. A friend visited SwissArms in Neuhausen with Dave from JDI around 8 years ago. He said at that time literally every single 55x from the production line was going to JDI. That may no longer be the case, but I think the US market is actually substantial for SwissArms. |

- 563 Catalog - Not much out there on em , although I did find this cool 563 catalog. Any idea how many made it into the US? Any out there available for purchase? |

I've have the Estonia but my SpecWar swings much better. The shovelnose is wider than the standard rail. I prefer the thin rail. The only reason the Euros are using a pitons is too keep the gases away from the trooper, just like the Estionians. I like the gas much better but whatever, Btw, they're available in Cerakote iR type finish which looks nice and is a nice brown hue. I have it in both MarsH in 6.5 creed more and the MarsL Barrels are an easy switch and you can have a 13" 6.5 Creedmore which has a handy feel just like my K7. |

I thought that I placed my order pretty quickly, but perhaps not quick enough (assuming he's shipping in the order the orders were received). |

Correction mine has a 4 position valve. x , 0.9 , 1.2 , 1.3 AND Ar-15 Trigger is fully adjustable it seems; 4.4 Adjusting the trigger Settings S2.1 and S2.2 are used to adjust the trigger pull weight. Turning clockwise increases the weight, while turning counter-clockwise decreases it. Both settings must be adjusted equally to ensure accuracy. The S3 setting reduces trigger travel and reset distance. Turning clockwise lowers the trigger stop; however, if adjusted too far, it can block the trigger mechanism. In this case, turning counter-clockwise raises the trigger stop and restores trigger functionality. 4.4 Adjustment options The S4 setting controls the break point (sear engagement). The user can adjust the break point so that it engages immediately before the trigger breaks, resulting in a more precise shooting experience. Marking Use S1.1 & S1.2 Mounting S2.1 & S2.2 Trigger pull weight S3 Trigger stop S4 Break point We recommend watching the MAKtrigger adjustment video |

Glad to hear you got your 563 before Iran was bombed. I am still waiting on the 55x NATO lower I ordered way back in Dec 2022. Dave has been good with communications, and he is very frustrated about the importation situation right now. I just hope we see some more magazines in the near future, along with spare parts. |
