| How many here actually shoot their FAL's suppressed. I have a 18 inch Argy barrell in a Para setup, and a standard 21 inch DSA gun. wondering which one to suppress, or if its even worth it. Thanks in advance, and pics would be helpful too. |

Shorter is better for handling but if you are just shooting from a bench or something then it doesn't really matter. I would try the 18" over the 21" if you want to try it. Definitely get the DSA suppressor plug, I use the smallest jet and then the regulator around 4 or 5 from close. Then just find a muzzle device that works with your barrel threads, I used rugged but I think Griffin has some, probably others as well. Attached File |

Same setting even. The DSA suppressor gas plug is well worth it. I don't have a picture with the can on, but I shoot this 18" Steyr barreled Imbel/FSE/DSA/Coonan mutt exclusively suppressed now with a Griffin Explorr 300 suppressor on a Griffin Plan A Taper Mount flash suppressor.  |
| Be sure to check that barrel for concentricity. It's been quite a few years ago but there were reports of off center bores on Argy barrels on FALFiles. |

| Thanks for all the info and opinions, now if I can just get the muzzle device off. What guerilla put it on I dont know but he was one strong wrench turner! Any hints on getting it off??????. I have the DSA suppressor plugs and appropriate mount for my cans, but gosh darn that things on tight. |

Get a nut and bolt from the hardware store, thread in, lock with nut, hit it with an impact driver. Had to do that with an Imbel kit. |

Contact DSA and find out if they used Rocksett to secure your muzzle device. Rocksett resists heat to 2000F and resists turning like Red Locktite but you can remove it easily by putting your muzzle device in a pan of boiling water as Rocksett is water soluble. Google/YouTube Rocksett removal as needed. |
