Knowing what issues it had, I purchased a used LWRC SMG45 before the VA Assault Weapon Ban. I SBR’d it, and I’m having magazine related issues. LWRC will warranty the gun, but I’m trying to find out how to ship the SBR back to them. Do I need to do a form 3 from a class III dealer to LWRC? Thanks for the help! |

As long as LWRC has a valid FFL, you can ship them a SBR (regardless of who made it) and they can ship it back to you, but it’s best to ask LWRC how they want to handle this. Some FFLs want a Form 5, but it’s not really needed. Some FFLs want you to just fill out a F5 and sign it and then send it with the firearm instead of sending the F5 to ATF first. |
