Stumbled upon Black Collar Arms website and their Pork Sword. I have a Rem 700 in .223 barreled action. Would like to build a pistol in 300 BO from it. It seems they are using what’s referred to as a Savage style barrel that fits a Rem 700 action making it so installation of different barrels is easy for the DIY’er. I can’t find a 300BO barrel that’s ~9” though. Can anyone point me to where I can purchase one? Preferably a carbon fiber barrel, but not necessary. |

Northland Shooter Supply used to be one of the big vendors that kept a bunch Savage and Remage barrels along with nuts and tools haven’t looked in years though. Lots of companies did them and some had their own names ie Bugnut. Depending on your budget it might be worth just starting out with the proper stuff and selling your setup or leaving it 223. I don’t know if anyone is doing shortly carbon fiber barrels. |

| I'd weigh the cost and time vs just buying something like a Ruger American Ranch. Already the right chambering and takes AR mags and can be found for around $600 from the looks of it. You'd have to chop the barrel and have it threaded. Ruger actually released a few SBR's one of which is an American but so far they only list it in 338 Arc. I can't imagine they won't eventually do it in 300 Blackout. |

| Another option that is love hate is you can pin and weld an adapter or even the can itself. Don’t know if anyone still does a dedicated 30 cal for pin and weld. Saw a Trek dirt cheap and was thinking about something similar in 223. |
