 Found this for a steal at a local gun store. Unfortunately it's been refinished, but the shotgun is in great condition. Some evidence of pitting on the stock tangs, but when I pulled it all apart the insides look pristine.  Gonna chop it down and run the crap out of it. |
All finished: I added a Choate 870 +3 extension, cut the barrel down to ~20.5" to just barely overhang the extension, added a 1903 Springfield rear stock loop on the left side and a Scattergun 870 forward sling loop. I also found a Browning Auto 5 two-piece load lifter which dropped right in and a Williams Giant Head safety. Very happy with how it came out. Still need to design and sew a sling for it but that's the easy part.
