| Are these still available or being produced? I’ve searched high and low on the net and everyone is either out of stock or no longer available? Any one have a line on a source? Thanks so much |
| I read that they were/are having supply chain problems with certain components and are hoping to resume production soon. This was as of 3-4 months ago, they went on to say that orders going back to September still need to be fulfilled before any new orders are processed. |

| I reached out to Samson directly. They replied that they are sending all their stocks to Ruger, and that they could be purchased on shopruger.com. I looked there, and couldn’t even find them listed on that site. Guess I’m hit, maybe someone will list a used one someday. |

They actually listed them “in stock” again in June, but mine didn’t ship. When I logged in to check order status, no orders showed up. I called them and was told that after 30 days your orders don’t show up.  Also asked if they could tell me how many orders were in front of mine. The lady laughed. Anyway, they were scheduled to get more in on July 9. I know they are using a lot of the Samson stocks on special edition Mini 14s, but you would think Samson and Ruger could ramp up production on something this popular. There are people literally saying “Take my money” but nobody seems interested in making sales. If you check ShopRuger regularly you will probably find them back in stock eventually. You will then be able to order one. Who knows if you will actually receive one. When they get a bunch of the anniversary/ A Team Mini 14s built up, the Samson stocks will probably be easier to get. (Unless Samson and Ruger decide that we would rather have the horrible, and expensive, new aluminum stock that Samson has developed.) |

I believe the wood is sourced in Italy and that is bottlenecked as its surface shipped in semi-large quantities based on "just-in-time manufacturing" so they don't inventory an expensive amount of parts at any one time - problem is hit a snag with supply chain (like the crap around Iran) it effects all lanes of shipping inevitably. Just-in-time manufacturing and lean manufacturing save money when everything works - your only paying for the inventory of parts you need to get out exactly what production needs and not wasting money in shelved parts. However it is like playing a game of Tetris at a normal speed. However one monkey wrench into the system and it crashes like a game of Tetris out of control. |

I messaged Samson this week and they indicated all of the stocks are going to Ruger. It was interesting that I couldn't find a blued version either on Samson or Ruger's website so I guess stainless is about all you can get currently. Unless you want to take a shot at the $650 stock they released this week. Spooky |

Choate side folder is hundreds less. Add a Samson or Ultimak scout rail, add up to 3 sections of Pic rail to sides/bottom of fore end. increase Length of Pull (LOP)/buttstock with a slip-on butt pad, adding foam inserts to suit. Add a QD cheek rest from ITC if required. I'm sure Samson's unit is a wonder to behold, but more than one way to skin this cat and for a good deal less to boot. |
