They haven't had them on the website since I've been looking and I can't find one anywhere. Did Samson discontinue them or Ruger get greedy or...something? You'd think I'd have learned by now, when you see something you think you want, go ahead and buy it. Of course that's why I have a pile of project parts.

I have a Samson B-TM Ruger 10/22 stock for the standard carbine barrel. Great stock, I like it a lot. I want to get another one, the model for the bull barrel. I recently went looking online only to discover that there are none in stock with Samson or Ruger (at ShopRuger.com). I asked Samson Manufacturing if they were still making them. They told me that currently all B-TM stocks for the 10/22 (and A-TM) were being sent to Ruger. They did not have any further information about what Ruger was doing with them. I also contacted ShopRuger.com but was told that the B-TM stocks were not available right now and was unable to get any further information about whether they would be available for purchase again in the future. I'm hoping that they will be available again at some point. It's a good product. |

I have read in a couple different places that Ruger is switching vendors for the A-TM stocks and discontinued using Samson. I would assume the same holds true for the B-TM stock as well. Last I heard, Ruger was still working on finding another vendor, or sourcing the super rare hardwood used in the stocks, or whatever other Internet rumor sounds good this week. |
