Recently picked up an SR25 and trying to determine if it's a total hodgepodge parts build, a surplus upper that got slapped on a newer ambi lower, or some random transitional period gun. All of the parts appear to be factory Knights, but I've never seen the attached marking on an SR25 before. The left side upper is marked RESTRICTED UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT /EXPORT USE ONLY. Has anyone seen this before outside of an AWB era lower? Upper pic |

I was hoping there was a small chance it was something that a contract called for, but I was concerned the more likely scenario was that some dork laser engraved some lame shit into it for cool guy points. That said, I found another one that is almost identical to my gun currently listed on GB-  When I say almost identical, I mean the same USO glass and Atlas bipod came with mine. The only difference I'm noticing is mine came with a 20" non-threaded barrel. |
